The Palestinian worker endures exceptional suffering, both in terms of the nature of his targeting by Israel and the perils he faces working under occupation. He is the victim of an inhumane reality; and he is boxed in between a family demanding its basic needs and an Israeli policy that subjugates and forces him into unemployment. Many Palestinian workers are forced to work "illegally" in Israel, in an effort to provide their families with food and medicine, and in light of the meltdown of the Palestinian economy. They do so in spite of the hell of living away from their families and the continual fear of arrest.
