The first thousand days of the Reagan administration were turbulent ones for the Middle East. In this study, author and former U.S. State Department official Juliana Peck analyzes the development of the Reagen administration's policy towards the question of Palestine during this period. She compares the new Reagan policy with the Carter administration's positions on the Middle East, focusing particularly on the war in Lebanon and its aftermath.
