This book tackles the case of minorities in the Levant from different perspectives, economic, political, social and cultural. It also shows how each minority that was persecuted and unfairly treated used to hold on and experience long patience, refused to abandon its traditions and privacy and then go back to revenge from its persecutors when it gets the chance for that. The historical persecution of minorities is a rich cultural stock which is obviously reflected in its current reactions on the status quo in the Levant The international and regional powers took advantage of the persecution imposed on minorities in order to interfere in the governing authorities’ issues in the Levant, explicitly for the protection of minorities yet implicitly and truly for securing their economic and political interests. These minorities were often damaged more than promoted from the foreign intervention, unless they kept their foreign affairs to protect their existence. This book tries to find a potential political formula to reassure the minorities about their future in the bosom of a nation, after studying the movement of minorities in the Levant in the past and the present and examining their reactions about the incidents and analyzing the few stability cases they experienced and the reasons, and after all deducting what is more suitable for the future of these minorities and the Levant.
