This book comprises chapters translated from a book of mine published in Beirut in Arabic under the title Al “Alakat Ad Dawliya Fil Islam (i.e. International Relations in Islam). It includes an explanation of the various concepts of international relations based on the Islamic faith, the rulings of the Islamic Sharia and the jurisprudence of the most prominent scholars of Islam.
The book uses the method of comparative study, which compares between jurisprudential rulings and rules of positive law in the framework of calling for a renewal of the Islamic though that is committed to the humanity of humans. It deals with international politics from two perspectives: (1 politics of the Islamic Sharia and (2 international politics as adopted by the international community nowadays.
Readers interested in this topic shall find in this book studies related to the major Islamic principles that govern international relations and the various concepts of Jihad, terrorism and resistance.
