Bachelor's degree in English and Fine Arts/Beirut college for Women - Lebanon 1962. Long-term involvement in cultural activities and in the arts, she has also co-authored Palestinian Embroidery: Fallahi Cross-Stitch, a publication of the Ethnographic Museum, Munich, Germany, 1990. Has experience in literary translations. Classical singer; with a focus on experimental work with Arabic art songs. Featured soloist in "Dreams of My People", a cassette of Palestinian songs. Has presented several solo concerts locally and internationally. Married to Hanna Nasir, and has three sons and a daughter. Currently resides in Birzeit, Palestine. MARIE SALIM JABAJI TAMARI Born in Jaffa, Palestine 1911. Secondary education at the St. Joseph's School in Jaffa. Married to Edmond Tamari and has a son, Salim. Left Jaffa to Beirut, Lebanon, in 1948 as a result of the Arab Israeli War. Left Beirut to Ramallah, Palestine in 1951 where she still lives.
