Labor Law and Social Security Law are both called social laws. The word « social » simply means all that has to do with the social organization, the society. In the 19th century, during the industrial revolution, the situation of workers drew the attention of thimkers, but the word « social » had a narrow meaning, it covered only every measure tending to reorganize the society in order to improve the conditions of employment.
Nowadays, the word « social » is used to represent every measure that aims to improve the well-being of citizens.
Hence, the word « social » is used in different aspects :social justice, social laws, social reforms…
Accordingly, the book is divided into two parts : Book One and Book Two, the former covers the Labor Law,while the latter the social security Law, and at the end an appendix dealing with occupational injuries.
